Stop Settling For Less Than You Deserve!
Just A Thought
--
I feel like we tend to settle for less than we deserve 90% of our lives, until of course, we can’t take it anymore. That left over 10% is the things we never even give chances to, after accepting less than we deserve all of the other times. We have these lives that we can create in the palm of our hands, we have the ability to take a new step, or make a new change in the snap of a finger… but we don’t.
We stop challenging oursleves, we stop taking risks, and instead we bask away in what our lives currently are and we ACCEPT it. Maybe because it’s comfortable, maybe because we have festered in guilt for so long we believe this is the life we deserve and nothing more, maybe we believe this is it for us, or maybe you’re just doing what you got to do to get by for now. Then years pass and you’re still just “getting by”, but the depression gets worse and you aren’t taking any steps towards your true purpose. True happiness is taking risks, especially when you’re comfortable. Comfort zones aren’t meant to last. They are meant to stop, take a break, and appreciate your life as a whole. To appreciate the things you DO have, and how far you have came since the last risk you have taken. Risks don’t always end badly either, perhaps if you look at life with a “glass half full” perspective then you’d see our failures are just little lessons and bigger pushes to where you need to be or areas you can improve on. Never beat yourself up about little mistakes because you can always improve and work harder towards a certain goal you have. Nothing worth fighting for or worth having in life is easy to come by. Even if you were handed a golden opportunity, other life circumstances will get in the way and attempt to cloud your true vision. That’s the cycle of life, the big test. What can you withstand? Will you still be grateful when you have everything you ever wanted?
Being thankful and grateful for the things you currently have or the struggles you have overcame, will lead you in the direction to where you should be, diminish your pride, and help you distinguish between what is best for you versus what you’re just settling for. Step out of your comfort zone and try new things! Find what you’re good at! You might be surprised at what you come across and what you never thought you’d be good at! Take a risk, and stop settling for less than you deserve. Just remember to always be grateful for what the universe blesses you with, even if it seems small right now… one day it can turn into something much greater than you ever imagined!! Also, the universe can change things and take things away, just as fast as it was manifested into your life!!
